About Larry Behnke
Since 2023, I’ve been the Southeastern U.S. Regional Manager for the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Center. I coordinate with local, state, tribal, and federal agencies (law enforcement, emergency management, fire service, and EMS) to train personnel in 11 southeastern states in response to active shooter events, incident management, and first responder medical tactics, techniques and procedures.
I retired from the North Little Rock Police Department in July 2021. I live near the Tower Hill Addition with my wife, Julie, who also retired from the NLRPD in 2022. She is a 25-year police officer with 20 years as a detective specializing in the investigation of child and adult sex crimes, domestic violence, and human trafficking. Julie is an accomplished singer-songwriter. My daughter, Kylie, graduated from Cabot High School in 2021. I enjoy running our hobby farm, fishing, and playing guitar.
